Over the weekend, Armin van Buuren celebrated 1000 episodes of ASOT with an ASOT1000 Moscow set. What exactly went down? An eight-hour event at the Music Media Dome in Moscow where Armin, Alexander Popov, Ben Nicky, Cosmic Gate, Giuseppe Ottaviani, and Ruben de Ronde played a bunch of music.
Firstly, ge opens with his intro edit mashup between AVIRA, Swedish House Mafia, Ty Dolla $ign, and 070 Shake’s ‘Sirius vs. Lifetime’. Fans held their phones up high to capture every moment of this historic set. Secondly, that iconic intro is sure to ignite a fire inside you and let your emotions run rampant. He drops it into Rub!k’s ‘Everlast’ followed by an unknown ID. Throughout the set, he plays a ton of his tracks collaborated with other artists from Vini Vici, Orjan Nilsen, Steve Aoki, Kitone, and more. He treated the audience to pieces from ARMADA music, Armind, ASOT– the works. But let’s not forget the new music towards the end.
We expect nothing less from the label founder. From hearts pounding to basslines pumping, the audience stood in a trance listening to the hypnotic set. Flashing lights changed colors while hands lingered in the air. Their mission of turning the world into a dancefloor proved to be a hit with this one. Now, we just need to wait for the ASOT1000 celebration in Utrecht, taking place on February 18 and 19, 2022.
Next in their pipeline is a stop in Amsterdam followed by Mexico City, where he’s sharing his historic moment with the entire world. Armin lets out a heartfelt message towards the last twenty minutes of his set and holds up his arms in prophetic style. There’s uplift, there’s melodic, there’s tech/psy trance. Everything from fast to slow and all things in between, you can now relive his set from the weekend.
