Charlie Lim Shares Heartbreaking New Single ‘Nobody’s Home’

Award-winning Singaporean artist Charlie Lim has announced his third album 'DAYDREAM,' set for release at the end of 2026, alongside its devastatingly tender lead single, 'Nobody’s Home.'

The track arrives with a visual directed by longtime collaborator Jonathan Choo, and signals a return to Lim’s signature melancholy, this time rendered with even greater restraint. Built around delicate piano and a near-whispered vocal, 'Nobody’s Home' captures a moment of emotional unravelling, written and recorded in a single sitting during a period of personal difficulty.

Co-produced with sugi.wa in a remote Devon cottage, the song embodies the ethos behind 'DAYDREAM': less ornamentation, more truth. Across eight tracks, the album leans into silence, space and vulnerability, exploring themes of loss, longing and quiet acceptance.

It’s a notable shift for Lim, whose previous releases, including 'TIME/SPACE' and 'CHECK-HOOK,' saw him traverse a broader sonic palette. Here, the focus narrows, drawing comparisons to the introspective minimalism of James Blake and Chet Faker.

With over 20 million streams and a reputation for emotional honesty, Lim’s latest chapter feels less like reinvention and more like refinement. On 'DAYDREAM,' he plans to strip everything back - and in doing so, will get even deeper.
