The grooviest producer on the Anjunadeep roster comes back for a banger, ahead of his album release.
Simon Doty is back on the release schedule! Having announced his debut album Universal Language back in January, the Canadian House artist has unveiled a few of the songs to be released on said album on April 28th — ‘Soulflow‘ featuring Ursula Rucker, and ‘Have You Ever?‘. Today, he’s posted yet another album banger.
The new single was written by Doty alongside UK duo My Friend, and features vocals from Tailor. It was written at an Anjunadeep label songwriting camp last year, and, just in the proper Simon Doty style, very truthfully to the objective of the album — bringing back the good old groove in House music —, the song does deliver.
Get ready to drop your best Imhotep face as soon as this song starts. The kick, the bassline, the pianos, the plucks, the hats… honestly everything makes this song an absolute club blaster. On top of the instrumental goodness that’s happening at every point of the track, Tailor’s vocals are very reminiscent of Maxi Trusso and even Coldplay. Vocal and instrumental are quite the divine pairing on this track.
Guaranteed this track has been tearing places apart during Simon Doty’s Universal Language Tour. He’s been all over the world playing his unreleased tunes to innocent club-goers.
