JODA – We Find Ourselves (Jono Grant’s Stadium Mix)

Above & Beyond’s Jono Grant and Darren Tate take their JODA project to a new level with his own ‘Stadium Mix‘ of ‘We Find Ourselves‘. 2022 marked a big year for JODA. They announced their new project, then went on to create a debut album that took two years in the making. What’s more, Grant, throughout a two-decade career, has established himself as one-third of the biggest electronic groups in the world. In 2019, A&B produced the score to an environmental documentary, ‘The Last Glaciers. Then, he enlisted close friend Tate, to begin their composing journey together.

‘We Find Ourselves’ released last April as the lead single from the JODA project. It features Jono’s vocals. Now, we get a brilliant angelic, ‘Stadium Mix’ that also premiered at Above & Beyond’s sold-out Group Therapy 500 celebration in Los Angeles last October. I can still remember listening to it with eyes closed, dreaming of its melody and synths. That stadium resonated with their nostalgic sounds and create another moment of their iconic history. It reminds fans and listeners of the old Anjunabeats days and the sounds they started with. This track is an excellent audible journey.

JODA became a dream project all around. The duo worked in Tate’s studio in suburban north London, and A&B’s south London HQ. Both talents sprung a creative bubble during the early days of the pandemic. A fruitful partnership bloomed further. Their self-titled album ‘JODA’, celebrates the musical influences that Jono and Darren grew up with. We saw its release on Anjunabeats last August. You can bet the Anjunafamily spread their love and appreciation for it, to infinity and beyond.

Listen to ‘We Find Ourselves’ (Jono Grant’s Stadium Mix) on Anjunabeats and below. You may also check out JODA’s self-titled debut album now available to pre-order on black vinyl from the Anjuna Music Store.
