Adam Beyer is on quite the hot streak. Today, the Swedish DJ and techno producer released his new collaboration. It is titled ‘Simulator’, and it features a very special guest. For the first time in half a decade, Adam Beyer rejoins forces with the one and only Green Velvet. ‘Simulator’ was released through Adam Beyer’s label Drumcode.
Adam Beyer has become a massive name in the last years in today’s clubbing culture. He runs one of the biggest techno labels at the moment. And he happens to be quite a good music producer. If you combine all of this with his work ethic, you end up with a mix as powerful as his tracks. Coming off a hot start to the year with the release of his track ‘Legend‘, Beyer has no intention of letting the engine cool down.
After the very successful release of his last track, the man behind so many of today’s club anthems knew he needed to go big for his next release. And as the old saying goes, two heads are certainly better than one.
‘Simulator’ is the first musical outing between Adam Beyer and Green Velvet since the release of ‘Space Date‘ in 2018. The title track stands as one of the most beloved Drumcode releases. This new collab, and latest union, however, is no less memorable. ‘Simulator’ came to life as a solo production in 2019. It was then developed by Beyer for a number of years. He would later come to realize the track’s distinctive groove reminded him of a classic Green Velvet production: ‘Destination Unknown’.
After reconnecting with the Chicago legend, the ‘Simulation’ that we know today quickly came to fruition. A rugged techno beast, it’s characterized by industrial grooves, brain-melting oscillating effects, and one of Green Velvet’s deft vocal lines – “constant stimulation inside the simulation”.
