Tinder’s “Festival Mode” is back. The in-app feature allows users to match with fellow event-goers planning to attend the same festivals. The feature was first introduced in 2019 but thanks to the pandemic, in-person events came to a halt. Tinder re-launched this week, partnering with music festivals around the world, including Lollapalooza Paris and Sónar Festival in Spain, as well as large entertainment companies such as AEG Worldwide and Live Nation.
Similar to “Spring Break Mode” launched last February, “Festival Mode” places badges on user profiles to indicate upcoming festival plans. The badges make it easy to spot fellow festival-goers when swiping.
“Music is a universal language and the number-one interest among Tinder members worldwide. So many of our members are excited to jump back into in-person events. We wanted to build on that excitement and offer them a head start at meeting someone new ahead of one of the biggest festival seasons in years.”
-Kyle Miller, VP of Product Innovation at Tinder
Users can access “Festival Mode” now via the app’s Explore page. You can read more about the feature on Tinder’s website.
