Well, nobody expected their Tuesday to go like this! It appears this week is a big one for festival season 2023. EDC Vegas 30th Anniversary goes on sale, Creamfields goes on sale, and Ultra Music Festival just decided to outdo them all with a surprise Phase 1 lineup drop. Let’s dive in!
First up are the exclusives, which means these artists (as billed) will not be advertised at any other Miami Music Week parties. They may show up as a surprise guest, however. These include Armin van Buuren, Carl Cox, Clozee, Eric Prydz HOLO, Ganja White Knight, Gigantic NGHTMRE, Grimes, Gryffin, Kx5, Kayzo, Martin Garrix, Oliver Heldens b2b Tchami, REZZ, Subtronics, Zedd, and Swedish House Mafia. That’s quite the list of exclusives.
Diving deeper, Ultra managed to snag many of the most buzzworthy acts and B2Bs such as Eric Prydz HOLO. This is the first time Eric is bringing his HOLO show to Ultra since its ill-fated first attempt in 2014. So that means Eric Prydz will once again borrow the megastructure from Resistance. Also, where is Adam Beyer Cirez D?
On top of that, we have deadmau5 going b2b with Kaskade as Kx5 and also with HI-LO (Oliver Heldens) as testpilot. Oliver Heldens will also be going b2b with Tchami. We already knew about Swedish House Mafia as the closing headliner, but now it’s official. Joining the exclusives are Claude Vonstroke, Hardwell, Tale of Us, Timmy Trumpet, and Vintage Culture.
All in all a very solid Phase 1 from Ultra and a very shrewd way to take attention off of EDC and Creamfields. Why wait for Thursday – tickets are on sale now.
