Roxe continues his reign of releases in 2021 as we welcome him to the HUGS imprint with ‘Crazy For You’.
Building monumental foundations to his career at a rapid pace, his polished, yet dirty sound has been turning heads beyond his hometown – picking up plays from industry heavyweights including Chris Lake, Wade, Martin Ikin, Claude VonStroke, Low Steppa and Leftwing : Kody to name a few. Following on from his recent release on imprints like Farris Wheel, Solotoko, Hood Politics, Sink Or Swim and La Pera, Roxe turns up the heat on ‘Crazy For You’ with a soundtrack suited to the sweatiest and darkest of nooks where the unexpected becomes a common denominator.
“I’m really happy to sign on this label, I know the great team behind it, it’s an honour to work with them and to be one of the first releases. My track ‘Crazy For You’ is one of the last creations I did, I take care of everything meticulously, it has a groove that rolls very fluid, a voice that sticks and maintains the hook, very characteristic sounds and a synth that transmits a “dramatic feeling”. There is a moment where an atmosphere of uncertainty is created along with the frenzy of the build up to then release the drop like a hard punch in the face.” – Roxe
