Thai artist NOTEP has returned with 'Radio,' a luminous new single released via Platoon to mark Earth Day. The track serves as the first preview of her forthcoming EP, 'PAKARANG'—named after the Thai word for coral—and introduces a project deeply rooted in the shared rhythms of the ocean and the human body.
Built from ambient textures, airy electronics, and NOTEP’s signature vocal experimentation, “Radio” explores the concept of tuning back into an internal frequency rather than chasing external validation. It is a subtle yet powerful statement from an artist whose work consistently bridges the gap between sound design, spirituality, and environmental awareness.

The release arrives alongside a visually arresting video filmed off Koh Tao Island in Thailand. Produced in collaboration with digital artist Cyrus James Khan, the clip features NOTEP aboard a traditional Thai long-tail boat. She is adorned in a couture dress by Eric Tobua, constructed from reclaimed soda can tops, with styling elements crafted from ghost nets and discarded buoys recovered from the sea.
This sustainable visual language mirrors the EP’s broader conceptual framework: transformation, resilience, and the philosophical idea that nothing truly disappears, but rather changes form. 'Radio' feels like a significant leap forward—immersive, thoughtful, and quietly radical. If this is the first signal from 'PAKARANG,' the full transmission promises to be something truly special.
'Radio' is out now via PLATOON.
