Dutch DJ and pop extraordinaire Martin Garrix has teamed up with Swedish ‘Habits‘ singer Tove Lo, to create a chill pop track ‘Pressure‘ that’s not dissimilar to his previous releases.
Staying true to his successful pop/dance blend, Garrix has blended Tove Lo’s easy going vocals with his leisurely house production. This combination has resulted in a sound that provides a much needed escape from the bustle of the current climate.
Tove Lo reached fame initially with her 2014 release ‘Habits (Stay High)‘ and has stayed on top with releases like ‘Talking Body‘ and her 2019 Album ‘Sunshine Kitty‘.
Listeners might also be familiar with her other pairing on Australian producer/DJ Flume‘s track ‘Say It‘.
An every-day kind of sound, this song neither hits hard, nor does it bore the listener. Unlike his most popular Bebe Rexha pairing ‘In The Name Of Love‘, Pressure offers a moment out of this crazy time we’re living in.
More suited as an after hours track, Pressure gives off just the right amount of deep chill. However if you’re looking for a banger, this track is a step away from his Dua Lipa hit ‘Scared To Be Lonely‘.
