[Event Review] Adriatique Bring Brooklyn Mirage to The Future With X

This past weekend, Swiss Duo Adriatique took all in attendance to the future with their X tour at the Brooklyn Mirage. Their ‘X’ venture has taken the world by storm with the transformative journey that they bring their fans at with their mesmerizing performances. This Saturday was another one of those spellbinding shows that they consistently put on and was a show for the books. Other artists to perform at the show as support included Julia Karma, Woo York (Live), and Yotto.

If you’ve been following Adriatique on socials this year, you’d have an idea of what to expect at an ‘X’ show. But expecting is different from experiencing it live in person. ‘X’ goes beyond the traditional concept of an event; it unfolds as an immersive odyssey that combines creativity and human connection. It’s an extraordinary spectacle where the realms of music and art seamlessly intertwine, and every visual and auditory detail is meticulously honed to transport you on an unparalleled journey.

Taking the decks at 1:30am, the Swiss duo received cheers from the crowd as anticipation ran high for their special performance. The supporting acts did a great job at warming up the crowd with their standout performances and it was now time for Adriatique to take center stage. Dangling right above the duo was a X that would move and rotate, serving as the core centerpiece of the night. In terms of visual experiences, there aren’t many venues in the world that provide a better experience than the Brooklyn Mirage. This was especially true with the beautifully stimulating visual production that Adriatique had prepared for the night. From spiraling vibrant colors to larger than life emotional faces to flames ablaze, the audience was in one for one of the best production nights at the Mirage all summer long. Throughout the night, the duo’s seamless mixing and track selection showcased not only their technical prowess but also their ability to read the crowd and keep them engaged. Their performance featured a ton of their crowd favorites such as ‘Home’ and ‘On My Knees’ – Adriatique Remix but also a mixture of ID’s. Standouts that got the crowd in awe included ‘Innerbloom’ by Rüfüs Du Sol and most likely an Adriatique edit of ‘Fine Day Anthem’ by Skrillex & Boys Noize. Seeing the visuals in sync with their latest single ‘Miracle‘ was also another highlight of the show.

Adriatique’s tour is still ongoing and they will be making Afterlife stop at Ibiza and Los Angeles. Festival appearances include Awakenings, Ritvales in Medellin and Labrytinto Festival in Costa Rica. If you don’t have NYE plans yet, they will be bringing X to Tulum on December 30th for an extended set. Tour dates can be found on resident advisor here on their website.
