Burning Man, like many festivals this Summer, is still up in the air. This did not stop them from announcing an absurd $2,500 reservation opportunity to buy tickets. 1,000 lucky people can spend $2,500 for the right to buy tickets to the next two Burning Mans. It is important to note that tickets are not included in this reservation. What’s maybe even crazier is that they are almost sold out. For being a non-profit organization, the guys over at the Burning Man Project sure do like money.
If you want to guarantee the ability to go to Black Rock City for the next two years, this reservation is for you. Reservations are non-refundable and non-transferable, so make sure you really want to go before paying. When I initially heard about this I never thought anyone would reserve just the right to go to Burning Man without actually getting a ticket. But, here we are with only a few hundred reservations still being available. The Burning Man community is clearly one of the strongest there is.
Burning Man has announced that COVID vaccinations will be required in order to attend this year’s edition. Just last month they announced the theme should it happen. This year’s theme is “The Great Unknown. If you are looking to be a part of the Reservation, they are on sale here.
