Avicii Invector, the video game celebrating the late Tim Bergling’s work, is coming to Meta Quest 2. Mark your calendars for January 27th. They’ve named it Avicii Invector: Encore Edition. You can now access a VR version of the rhythm action game, in addition to PC and console. The game released in 2019 and features 35 tracks that you can now master in the virtual space.
Firstly, soar through vocal melodies, sweep through each power fade, and attack every beat. Next, enjoy the biggest hits and thrilling futuristic environment as your pint-sized ship cruises through the LED rails. What’s more, is it will blast you with full color and excitement that you’ll remember for years. Lastly, all music royalties from every game copy sold will go to the Tim Bergling Foundation. As you may know, the foundation advocates for mental health and works to remove the stigma attached to suicide while recognizing this issue as a global health emergency.
We look forward to seeing what else will be revealed on this game later this month. Fans of Avicii can relive the magic of his music inside your home in an incredible new space. Original developer, Hello There Games, and published, Wired Productions will publish the game. You can snag a copy here.
“When Tim and I first started talking about Invector, he actually sent an early prototype VR headset. He was fascinated by the technology and the opportunities it created. Working with Tim’s father, Klas, to finish this project has been an emotional process for the whole team. We still grieve for Tim, but we came together knowing this was a project he was very passionate about and hope his fans can continue to celebrate and remember AVICII for the light that he was.”
