With a quietly electrifying talent, singer/songwriter and producer Áslaug has just released her debut EP. Following on from last year’s single ‘Take From Me,’ she delivers a delicious mesh pop and electronic sounds with a retro twist. Titled simply Áslaug, this collection takes meaning from the Icelandic phrase Haltu utan um sjálfa þig – which means you should always “embrace yourself.”
As well as ‘Take From Me’ you can find the subtly developing ‘If You Will/Hollwo,’ 80s influenced ‘I’m Sorry’ and the hands in the air, anthemic pop cut ‘In My Head,’ which is our favourite thanks to its singalong chorus.
We love this record, and hope you will too. Listen now!
