His sets & productions blur the lines between soulful depth & rhythmic intensity, blending cinematic tension & emotion, with a subtle nod to Eastern motifs & atmospheric storytelling.
We caught up with Ihsa to unpack the inspirations, challenges, and production process behind his latest release ‘Desire’ the first single from his upcoming ‘Obscura LP’.
Ihsa, welcome to EDM Nations & where can our readers find you in the world right now?
Right now, I’m based in Vienna, Austria, a city that gives me a lot of creative energy. But I’m constantly on the move. Istanbul, London, and Mauritius have become second homes for me, and each place influences my sound in a different way.
With the recent release of ‘Desire’, when did you begin work on the track?
We started shaping the whole album at the start of the year. After eight intense months, the project came together, and Desire was one of the very first ideas that set the tone for the entire Obscura universe.
In collaboration with Amir Farhoodi, is this the first time you’ve worked together?
Yes, this is our first collaboration — and it clicked instantly. The chemistry was there from day one, and I’m sure we’ll create a lot more music together.
Can you tell us a little about the production process? Studio together, remote, or a mix?
We worked fully remote. Technology today makes distance irrelevant — you can be thousands of kilometres apart and still feel like you’re in the same room creatively. It was a smooth and inspiring workflow.
With ‘Desire’ taken from your upcoming Obscura LP, how many tracks are featured on the album?
The album carries ten tracks, each one representing a different shade of the Obscura world.
When are you planning on releasing Obscura to the world?
We’re aiming for April 2026 — and I honestly can’t wait to share this journey with everyone.
