Rising Suffolk alt-pop artist Loome has finally released his long-awaited debut album 'ASTROHEARTS'.
Following a string of singles and an appearance at Latitude Festival, Loome, the solo project of Tomas Frankson, has established himself as one to watch, landing a spot on BBC Introducing’s ‘Sound of 2023’ list.
'ASTROHEARTS' is a deeply personal project, created entirely in Loome’s one-room home studio, where he played, engineered, mixed, and mastered every track. The album isn’t just a musical accomplishment but also a therapeutic journey for the artist, who faced life-changing news during its creation.
“The announcement of 'ASTROHEARTS' was a knee-jerk reaction to the worst start of a year ever,” Tomas shares. “I came face to face with my own mortality… But after one phone call, that all changed. This album is about finding joy in life and, for the first time, facing up to its fragility," Loome explains.
The album’s eight tracks are a vibrant mix of bright electronics, atmospheric soundscapes, biting guitars, and emotional lyricism. Loome’s melodic vocals tie everything together, delivering catchy hooks that showcase the project’s pop sensibilities while maintaining an alternative edge.
