YARD Detonate Into a New Era of Chaos on Relentless ‘YARD II’

After a breakout 2025, Dublin electropunk trio YARD return with EP two, a five-track eruption of post-punk fury and club-driven intensity that confirms their status as one of the most exhilarating new acts in UK and Irish underground music.

Where their self-titled debut EP introduced a volatile fusion of serrated guitars and industrial electronics, EP two drags their sound deeper into the void. The opening track, 'Essential Tremor,' is a punishing techno assault that turns health anxiety and bodily fragility into pure adrenaline. “With age comes health complications… it’s frightening,” frontman Emmett White says - a theme the band channel into a jagged physicality that feels both claustrophobic and cathartic.

The EP’s centrepiece, 'Friction,' features Gilla Band’s Adam Faulkner on live drums, recorded at Yellow Door Music Studios. It’s a slow-building descent into distortion, social burnout, and emotional detachment, a track that smoulders, then explodes. “It’s about questioning your surroundings while feeling increasingly disconnected,” White explains. “That internal tension becomes its own kind of collision.”

True to form, YARD lean into the unsettling: their shadowy live persona, Bucketman, their serrated sound palette, and influences spanning Death Grips, SUUNS, and Nine Inch Nails. Yet the result feels distinctly their own: dark, physical, and relentlessly immersive.

Both EP #1 and EP #2 will arrive as a double-sided 12” Dinked Edition in January 2026, limited to 500 copies with exclusive artwork and a signed print.
