XL Recordings co-founder Richard Russell has unveiled a new body work under his collaborative music project Everything is Recorded.
With a stunning spectrum guests joining Russell on the album, the likes Sampha, Giggs, Syd, Ibeyi, Damon Albarn, Obongjayar and Kamasi Washington have all fered instrumental or vocal contributions to the project, titled ‘Everything is Recorded by Richard Russell’.
To accompany the album announcement, a new pop-up residency has been unveiled, playing host to the debut on February 15, with Sampha, Ibeyi, Warren Ellis and more confirmed to perform.
Running from February 14 through to 17, the Everything is Recorded In Residence event is described as “a major site-specific music and art installation on two floors the abandoned Savoy cinema in Dalston” in a press statement.
