Samsung may be releasing the Galaxy S22 on February 9th. News of this comes from known Samsung leakster, Ice Universe, posted on Weibo. Early rumors claimed the S22 to release on February 8th, which could still hold true for the Chinese market. Whichever date is true, we know that we’re close to getting official news. This is a highly anticipated phone, not due to its new design and features. We may get to see the recently announced Exynos 2200 chipset featuring the use of AMD’s RDNA graphics supporting ray tracing.
The S22 series will have three devices, mimicking the iPhone series including the S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra. This model will be the first S series with a built-in stylus. What the Ultra promises is a new LTPO AMOLED supporting a dynamic refresh rate from 1Hz to 120 Hz. In addition, it may include Gorilla Glass Victus+ on top for protection. What’s more, is it includes 45W fast wired charging and 15W wireless for the 5,000 mAH power cell.
Expect the Galaxy Tab S8 to be revealed at the event, with three iterations. Invitations to this event should be sent out later this month. It is unclear if in-person attendance will happen at MWC this year. MWC 2022 could open its doors but we will stay tuned for that. The event is scheduled in Barcelona from February 28th through March 3rd.
