The first edition of Kala festival looks like it's going to go off

The new Albanian festival Kala has released the first wave acts play its debut edition. The festival that takes place on the crystal coastline will run from June 20 to 27.

Festival goers will have free access to beach caves, natural canyons, and hiking trails which surround an array on open air stages.

Heading up the announcement is Detroit don Moodymann, while fellow legend the Michigan city Underground Resistance will be taking over one the stages. They will host acts such as a Mark Flash DJ set, along with a live performance from Depth Charge, the duo which is made up Mark Flash and Mike Banks.

Hot Chip will be presenting a Mega Mix set. There will also be beachfront residents consisting acts such as Jan Schulte, Jenifa Mayanja, Brian Not Brian, and Bjørn Torske.

Around 16 acts have been announced to play across the week, with further names including Peggy Gou, Or:la and Alfredo.

Kala festival is only accessible by water. Alhough it takes place in Albania, revellers will meet in Corfu, Greece where a party boat will sail to the desired destination.

The Kala organisers have released a code conduct for the week which reads: "Embrace the new. Explore, create and interact. Be kind. Savour sustainability openness and inclusiveness. Be free. Let loose and enjoy the moment."

Kala will be hosting free soundscape yoga and yin yoga sessions in the mornings, in rotation with Holistic massages.

A display interactive art will be also featured, with exhibitions that you can touch, change and step inside available throughout the grounds.

A selection different accommodation options that the festival is in association with are on fer, ranging from beach front hotels to central town stays.
