Today, Roku introduced Streambar, a 14-inch soundbar with 4K and HDR streaming capabilities. With its compact size and quality of streaming, it looks like the streaming service just got an upgrade.
Streambar is compatible with all the apps and services from the Roku. It also combines four full range speaker drivers to give you the ultimate listening experience. Straight from your stereo audio, it even supports Dolby Vision. All you need is the updated Roku Ultra streaming box. Right now, it looks like it’s going to cost around $129.99, with shipments starting mid-October.
The new Ultra hardware is the annual refresh for the streaming service. With it, you get Dolby Vision HDR with significantly improved wireless performance. It has a 50% greater range than the prior model with the Ethernet port still available for hardwire connection. It will cost you $99.99 though, compared to Amazon’s Fire TV Stick.
So for Roku users (like myself), that may want to look into getting an enhanced viewing setup, perhaps this can be it. Preorders start today and are available in the US, Canada, Mexico, and the UK.
