An arrest has been made following the hospitalization six young teenagers, all which are thought to have suffered from ecstasy overdoses.
Police in Scotland have a 17-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the hospitalizations. He is due to appear in court for the alleged drug fenses.
The six 13-year-olds were taken to Crosshouse Hospital in Ayrshire (in the southwest Scotland) on Saturday night and were kept overnight for observations. It’s believed they all ingested MDMA pills, possibly supplied by the suspect.
Police issued a following the hospitalizations:
“One line enquiry is that they had taken a type MDMA tablet, believed to be red, green or brown in colour, bearing an owl logo.
“We want to remind the public that any drug can be dangerous and that you are putting your health at risk if you do take anything unknown to you.
“Anyone who feels unwell, or knows anyone who appears unwell after taking these substances should seek medical treatment as soon as possible.”
