Consistently lauded as one the fastest rising talents in dance music, the Berlin-based Korean DJ has united with Ninja Tune for her forthcoming ‘Once’ EP - set to land on March 2, 2018.
Having recently featured Gou as one Mixmag’s , as well as naming the , the pairing is a match made in heaven. The release aims to draw on the artist’s most recent influence: fusing “electro, African music, early 90s house music and also techno” into a rhythmic release with proper sounds for any occasion.
Teasing the forthcoming EP with her new track 'It Makes You Forget (Itgehane)', Gou guides the unconcerned groove with melodious, acid-soaked synths and a rare choral performance from the artist herself. “I’ve recorded my voice before but this time I tried to sing” says Gou, who employs her native Korean tongue for the track’s catchy hook. “I'm not a pro singer but I did my best!”
