Now five years in, MOGA Festival is doing it bigger, brighter and with better vibes than anyone, and all just outside Lisbon. Held from May 28 to June 2 along the dreamy Costa da Caparica coastline, the 2025 edition was another beat and beach-lover’s paradise wrapped in unforgettably good vibes. With a record-breaking 25,000 attendees and artists spanning as many continents as the dancers, it was five days of musical thrills and pure magic by the sea.
What makes MOGA different is not just the epic lineup—though seeing legends like DJ Tennis, Luciano and Shimza rip it up next to breakout stars like Lilya Mandre and Momoda was a definite highlight. It’s the festival’s soul. MOGA started in Morocco, and that North African essence still radiates in every detail—from the souk-style market with local creators to the design of the Hafla Stage, so well curated by the Marrakech-based Tartar Color collective.
But MOGA is more than music. The OFF program turned the entire town of Caparica into a creative village with yoga on the sand, surf lessons in the morning, cinema nights under the stars and even DJ masterclasses. And yes, beach sets with nothing but espresso to fuel you are part of the fun.
By night, the energy surged each and every time. Whether you caught Paula Tape’s enthralling set or danced until dawn at the afterparty tucked behind the dunes, every moment felt like part of something bigger. The crowd is always diverse, respectful and radiating good vibes and proves MOGA’s vision of a conscious, curious and connected Tribe is alive and growing.
From the music to the food, the art to the sunsets, everything felt intentional. And despite its growth, MOGA stayed grounded, creating a boutique experience where you really feel part of something and not just a cash cow. As festival co-founder Matthieu Corosine put it, “MOGA is a blueprint for how destination festivals can evolve.”
And with new editions in Cádiz this July and Essaouira in October, this tribe is just getting started.
