For their newest compilation, mau5trap brought together their historically known heavy-hitters for 18 tracks on ‘we are friends vol. 10‘. They’ve left no stone unturned featuring many talents, including the head of the label himself, deadmau5. Fans that have been following the label for a long while are surely going to be satisfied.
While the compilation series tended to focus on up-and-coming artists, this one goes through the label’s history to pull their powerhouses. To name a few right off the bat, you’ll find tracks by ATTLAS, BlackGummy, Fehrplay, Matt Lange, No Mana, Wolfgang Gartner, and Zonderling. That’s obviously not all, as the entire body of work brings together names of that caliber.
Kicking off ‘we are friends vol. 10’ is deadmau5 through ‘Arguru 2k19‘, a newly forged version of the classic off random album title. Following, ‘Feels Like‘ by ATTLAS features the immense talents of Colleen D’agostino, and bringing the artists together offered us a tepid and tranquil track filled with intimate textures.
Throughout its run, mau5trap’s we are friends series has been a point of reference for much of the community surrounding the imprint. Whether it’s bringing new artists to the table or calling back on the old, it offers a body in which any of the aforementioned can co-exist. Taking that into consideration, the compilations evidently placed a wide array of artists on our radar, making it a staple for both artists and the community.
