Martin Garrix’s signature energy is back. His new release ‘Diamonds’ with Julian Jordan and Tinie Tempah gets you siked right out of the gate. Martin and Julian have been friends for many years with their first collab coming out almost 9 years ago. The Dutch Duo have been friends since school and this marks a return of their long friendship. The two also came together for ‘Glitch’ in 2018. Together they keep STMPD RCRDS one of the biggest labels in the industry.
‘Diamonds’ has been a long-teased ID for a while now. I think the two were waiting for some more festival performances before the big release. British rapper Tinie Tempah adds a nice flair to the track. The trio certainly “lit it up” with this one throughout. The drop surges with energy that we know will get anyone moving.
Martin hasn’t had too many high-energy track releases in the past two years. His sound has evolved into tracks like ‘Pressure‘ with Tove Lo. He also works on AREA21 with Maejor. Regardless, he continues to lead dance music in the right direction. Julian has had an impressive 2021 with slapper after slapper. ‘Hyper‘ and ‘Big Bad Bass’ are two of my favorites.
