Over the weekend Joris Voorn helped kick-off 2022 with a seven-hour set at Fabric London on January 8th. It is now available for streaming. The house and techno stalwart hailing from Amsterdam breaks down his set into three parts, each chock full of techno and underground goodies for two hours each. This marked the first fabric Saturday party of the new year, and what a bang it was.
Firstly, it opens with Nit Yardman’s remix of Andy Martin ft. Lee Scratch Perry’s track ‘Revolution‘. This atmospheric tune sets the tone for the rest. Secondly, songs from The Black Dog, Subset, Luigi Tozzi, Orbital, Talik, Spectralsound, and more carry the ethereal melodies through. From ambient to melodic, part 1 gives you a taste of what happened that night Part 2 gets into a little bit more funky vibes. What’s more, tracks featured here include London Grammar, Svarog, Jaydee, The Knocks, Applescal, Audiojack & Jem Cooke, Emil Baghino, Fideles, and more. In addition, several unknown IDs also make an appearance. The sophistication it ends with to flow into part 3 is what makes Joris a fan favorite. Lastly, part three starts hitting harder. Starting with Marsh’s ‘Little Darling’ and featuring gardenstate & Bien, Sven Vath, many Joris originals, remixes, and edits of Depeche Mode’s ‘Enjoy the Silence’.
Joris is a staple to the European underground scene and no stranger to parties in the UK. He makes the perfect artist to launch the winter/spring season. As a fabric regular, his progressive, high-caliber atmospheric tunes will shake anyone’s floorboards and captivate everyone’s hearts. The event required proof of double vaccination or proof of a negative COVID test. You can hear everyone cheer while listening throughout each part.
