Jaxxon D. Silva Unveils New EP, ‘A Rose Without Thorns’

Jaxxon D. Silva returns with 'A Rose Without Thorns,' a new EP that dissolves the boundaries between memory, fantasy, and emotional residue. Released via Cleopatra Records, the project feels like a romantic hallucination, a dialogue with someone half-remembered, half-invented. “It’s a conversation with someone who was never fully there,” Jaxxon says, framing the EP as a space where a past lover and an imagined presence blur into one indistinguishable figure.

Musically, the project leans into murky, intimate textures: melancholic guitar lines thread through restless breakbeats and twitchy jerk rhythms, creating an atmosphere that’s tender but unsettled. It plays like a dream you can’t fully wake up from. The earlier single 'Eyes Don’t Lie,' released in August, served as the first glimpse, a spectral, slow-burning entry point into this feverish world.

Though rooted in the circle linked to his early collaborations with Lil Peep, A Rose Without Thorns showcases a sharper, more cinematic version of Jaxxon: self-contained, emotionally distilled, and anchored in mood over genre. The EP lingers like an after-image, less a narrative than a feeling that refuses to fade.

Born in LA and raised across the UK, Jaxxon has never belonged to one place - or one sound. Since debuting in 2017 with the Lil Peep–featuring Poor Thing, he has moved fluidly between grungy alt-rock, lo-fi hip-hop, and UK underground grit. His catalogue - including 'Open to Closure' and the fan-favourite EP, 'I Wasn’t Born With Enough Middle Fingers' - reflects a restless creative identity.

Fresh off a UK/EU tour with longtime collaborator Brennan Savage, Jaxxon channels his momentum into 'A Rose Without Thorns,' a project that captures him at his most vulnerable, atmospheric, and uncompromising.
