It’s a no-go for Abduction NYE, Seattle’s end-of-year rave hosted by Insomniac. Sadly, the announcement came less than a week before Abduction should’ve occurred.
The event gained much hype beforehand as it would have been their debut edition. But it was nothing short of a letdown for ravers looking forward to the versatile lineup. Ravers weren’t alone in those feelings; event organizers were not happy to cancel last minute either. Here is part of Insomniac PNW’s statement:
“We are saddened to announce that this weekend’s Abduction NYE is canceled. Unfortunately, some of the artists and their crews are sick and are unable to perform. While we are disappointed to share this news, we wish you all a safe, happy, and healthy New Year!”
Abduction NYE had artists like Eric Prydz, Lane 8, Dabin, Droeloe, Nostalgix and Frida K. Initially, Seattle’s new NYE rave was going to be at the WAMU Theater on Friday, December 31, 2021.
In addition, all pass holders should see full refunds appear on their original purchase method. Finally, continue checking updates for other event cancellations and guidance from your local health officials.
