Glastonbury Applies For License To Hold Event in September

Despite the cancelation of Glastonbury 2021, the festival organizers applied for a license to hold an event on the Worthy Farm site this year. It could be a brand new event that takes the current health situation into consideration and optimizes the possibilities.

After a period of time in which festival organizers and fans were going back and forward with rumors and speculation regarding the main edition of Glastonbury in 2021, the organization canceled it due to uncertainty.

Now, after the health situation worldwide improves a little, Michael Eavis hinted at a smaller event. If things go as expected it will be taking place later this year. Besides, Emily even confirmed that the festival is applying for a license to hold this new concert in September. Glastonbury is proud to announce this news as it’s a silver lining to this negative season for festivals. Moreover, the co-organizer said that it was “so good to dream up plans and hope that some of these things could potentially happen later this year…”

“For those asking for an update on our plans later this year, we have put an application in for a license for a concert at the farm in September. (Around the time we’d usually do Pilton Party). Of course, we’ve no idea yet whether we’ll able to do that. But we wanted to get the application in to be in with a chance. Unlikely we’ll have any news for a couple of months – but will let you know right here when we do.”
