Duo Emulov are back with the funky new single, 'Mute', featuring MONODUKE.
Known for merging organic live instrumentation with hip-hop grooves, Emulov has once again delivered their signature sound, mixing the warmth of vintage Wurlitzers and analog synths with an intricate, lo-fi beat.
Having played the likes of North Sea Jazz, Sziget, Pinkpop, Leeds Festival, and Creamfields, Emulov’s roots run deep in the electronic music scene over the past two decades. Their latest single, 'Mute', celebrates this journey by blending old-school musicality with a modern, lo-fi twist. The addition of MONODUKE’s one-take piano solo gives the track a soulful edge, weaving in jazz and funk influences alongside electronic beats.
Emulov explains, "Mute was a blast to work on and a delightful one stop session. After that we visited Daan Herweg aka MONODUKE who did a one-take piano solo on the spot. This took 3, but no edits anywhere...”
Adding to their collaborative credentials, Emulov has called upon A Small Gang, a creative collective that empowers youth from disadvantaged backgrounds, to produce the single's artwork and video content.
