Disco Pogo Announces Tribute Book Celebrating LCD Soundsystem

Disco Pogo returns with the third instalment in its acclaimed tribute book series, this time honouring the mighty LCD Soundsystem.

Following the runaway success of the Daft Punk and Aphex Twin editions, the new hardback volume is out now, offering the most comprehensive deep-dive yet into James Murphy’s era-defining band.

Spanning 308 beautifully designed pages, the book brings together brand new interviews, essays and archival features curated by Disco Pogo editor, Jim Butler. With contributions from some of the world’s leading music journalists, it charts LCD’s evolution from DFA misfits to one of the most influential live electronic bands of the century. Fans can expect timelines, gear lists, gig histories, and original Jockey Slut and Dummy magazine features that capture the group’s ascent in real time.

A major highlight is the photography: an iconic cover portrait by longtime LCD collaborator Ruvan Wijesooriya, alongside extensive, never-before-seen images from Tim Soter, Tim Saccenti and other photographers who have been embedded with the band since their earliest shows.

As with previous Disco Pogo tributes, the publishers’ long-standing relationship with Murphy and the wider DFA family lends the book rare access and insight. Printed in a deluxe hardback format - complete with spine cloth and a silver ribbon - the volume is designed to sit perfectly alongside its predecessors.

Retailing at £30 / €35 / $40, this edition promises to be an essential artefact for LCD devotees and collectors alike.
