Amelle Rose's four-track EP, 'Yours Sincerely', is a four-track EP that delves into complex, deeply personal emotions and societal expectations.
The EP, her first project since her debut album 'Conversations With Louise' in 2022, is a collaborative effort with producer Dean Dichoso, funded by the charity Help Musicians. With this release, Amelle continues her exploration of themes like shame, vulnerability, and empathy, especially through the lens of female experience.
Each track of 'Yours Sincerely,' offers an introspective yet powerful listening journey. Sonically rich and layered, the EP balances haunting atmospheres with full-bodied electric guitar riffs, dynamic drum pads, and live drums, all of which help to convey the weight of her lyrical themes. In songs like 'Congratulations', which discusses postpartum depression, and 'Can't Talk (Happy Birthday)', a raw confrontation with abortion grief, Amelle’s storytelling is laid bare, blending haunting, introspective tones with indie-rock’s rebellious edge.
The French artist relocated to Bristol in 2019, and has since focused on building her voice in the UK indie scene.
