Alesso Debuts Dual Versions of Crowd-Favorite ‘Somebody to Use’

Alesso delighted fans by finally releasing the highly anticipated ‘Somebody to Use’. Fans have been keeping a close eye on the development of this ID, one that has appeared on a variety of his live sets over the past two years. This formerly unknown track was first debuted at Insomniac’s Countdown NYE in 2019. Demonstrating his global appeal, Alesso had fans flooding EDM message boards when the song resurfaced at his closing set at Ultra Taiwan 2020. In the dark for so long, fan have set their expectations quite high for the song. The Swedish DJ has proven he was not malingering and has unveiled not one, but two versions of the song.

Alessandro Renato Rodolfo Lindblad aka Alesso

Alesso fans will instantly resonate with uplifting, carefree house version that has been a staple of Alesso’s career. Alesso rose to the top of the progressive-house and electro-house scene with his melodic production. This comes as no surprise as Alesso was hand selected to collaborate with Sebastian Ingrosso. The famed Swedish House Mafia member reached out to Alesso in 2011 and the pair released ‘Calling (Lose My Mind)‘. Since then, festival grounds have reverberated with Alesso’s works such as ‘If I Lose Myself’ featuring OneRepublic and ‘Heroes’ featuring Tove Lo. With the surprise second version, the ‘Toxic Mix’ gives listeners something that departs from the expected. The version indulges a darker side that Alesso has only just begun to consider. Fans of the ‘Toxic Mix’ will also enjoy ‘PROGRESSO VOL 2’, released early in 2021. The two songs ‘TOGETHER’ and ‘AGAIN’ further demonstrate Alesso’s impressive range.

Looking Forward

With performances at Electric Zoo in New York City, Creamfields in the United Kingdoms, and EDC in Las Vegas, Alesso has had a very strong 2021. These releases are priming the Swedish legend for an even stronger 2022. Check out both versions and tell us which you prefer.
