Manchester-based electronic/pop duo samxemma start a new chapter with their new single ‘SEE SEE WHERE WE GO’, alongside news of their upcoming EP 'Us Forever', due 20 March via September Recordings (Obongjayar, For Those I Love).
Driven by restless, club-warped production and unfiltered lyricism, ‘SEE SEE WHERE WE GO’ finds the duo at their most exposed. Emma’s candid delivery cuts through Sam’s genre-fluid electronics, capturing the push-pull between abandon and self-awareness.
Emma explains:
“‘SEE SEE WHERE WE GO’ is actually a super self-destructive song. Staying in a toxic cycle, staying with a toxic person, ignoring the horrible things they do to you because you’re too embarrassed to break up with them because you’ve already put effort in the relationship. Classic. It’s like that glimmer of hope every time they do something near the bare minimum. Feeling like a fucking idiot. Not being able to see the truth in front of you. Only realising the truth years after."
The single previews 'Us Forever', a project that expands samxemma’s maximalist emotional terrain. Written across shifting headspaces, the EP promises post-show comedowns, fractured relationships and flashes of defiant self-belief, balancing EDM-driven peaks with moments of stark vulnerability. Recent singles ‘YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU’ and ‘Me forever :(’ will also feature on the EP.
Formed between Northampton and San Diego and now rooted in Manchester, the duo have steadily built momentum since their 2023 debut 'Athens', earning BBC Radio 1 support and sold-out headline shows. With 'Us Forever', we'll see samxemma sharpen their blend of high-impact electronic pop and raw confession.
