Factory International has announced the fifteen artists selected for its 2026 Factory Sounds programme, the award-winning development scheme supporting emerging talent across Greater Manchester. Backed for a second year by adidas Originals, the initiative continues its focus on championing creatives from underrepresented backgrounds within the music industry.

Now in its fifth year, Factory Sounds offers mentoring, workshops and financial backing, alongside access to the adidas Originals Recording Studio at Co-op Live, engineered by Abbey Road Studios. Sessions and events are hosted at Aviva Studios, Factory International’s Manchester home.

The 2026 cohort spans genres and disciplines, from alternative hip-hop artist Derasae and soulful R&B singer Tsana to folk musician Evie Moran, electronic producer Mogan and three-piece rock band UGLY CLUB. Grassroots rap platform Raise The Bar and Spynal Records also feature, reflecting the programme’s commitment to community-led infrastructure as well as individual artists.

Since launching in 2021, Factory Sounds has supported more than 50 artists and collectives, with alumni including OneDa and Loose Articles progressing to major festival slots, record deals and national tours.

As Head of Music Rivca Burns notes, the scheme remains rooted in the North’s evolving creative landscape, offering space, funding and belief at pivotal moments in artists’ careers.
