Deep house is alive and well, and for proof of that, look no further than one of the champions of the genre, in EDX. This past February, we shared with you ‘Don’t Be Afraid’, as well as news of his North American Tour. Prior to that, we brought you an original track, titled ‘Vommuli‘. Now, we bring you something a bit different, albeit familiar, in the form of one of his Ibiza Sunset Mixes. The original tune is that of Noa Kirel’s ‘Thought About That‘. If you’re a fan of EDX’s unique remixes, this is a tune that you’re going to want to check out.
EDX’s ‘Thought About That’ Ibiza Sunset mix starts quickly with some neat vocal chops, which are quickly followed up by the tunes vocals. Soon after, we get some filtered drums, and 38 seconds in we get the pre-drop melody. At around the 53-second mark, it all comes together and we get what I would consider the drop. If you’ve listened to any of his Ibiza Sunset mixes, or his Dubai Skyline mixes, I’m sure you know just what to expect. If not, you’re in for a treat.
With a total runtime of two minutes and fifty-three seconds, Noa Kirel’s ‘Thought About That’ (EDX’s Ibiza Sunset Mix) is a quick one. Having said that, it’s a catchy one, and worth a listen or two. If you’re into EDX, deep house, or just his Ibiza Sunset mixes, then you do not want to miss this. In conclusion, the EDX Ibiza Sunset Mix of Noa Kirel‘s ‘Thought About That’ is out now on Atlantic Records, and can be streamed below, enjoy!
