EDM fans love keeping festival tickets or wristbands as a souvenir. Years and years of collecting tickets and decorating your arms with festival wristbands may be coming to an end. Nowadays, tickets are evolving into QR codes and now even NFTs.
American events promoter and venue operator Live Nation may have found a solution to this problem. With the upcoming Swedish House Mafia tour, which will take place next year, Live Nation will test a new way of issuing tickets. In other words, Live Nation will also offer new digital collectible ticket stubs in the form of an NFT.
For the first time, fans will be able to collect digital ticket stubs called Live Stubs. Moreover, these new tickets will also display the unique section, row, and seat of the ticket. Besides, the implementation of Live Stubs NFT will allow artists to interact in a different way with their fans. For example, artists will now have the chance to interact with ticket holders before and after shows. Also, artists will be able to give them rewards.
“Our Live Stubs product brings back the nostalgia of collecting ticket stubs while also giving artists a new tool to deepen that relationship with their fans and we can’t wait to see what the creativity of this community dreams up as it grows.”
Michael Rapino, President and CEO, Live Nation Entertainment.
In order to release this new feature, Live Nation decided that the Swedish superstar trio, Swedish House Mafia should be the first artists with the new NFT system. World’s most famous EDM trio will offer a 2022 tour, Paradise Again, and fans will get to experience the Live Stubs NFT when they purchase a ticket to one of the shows.
