Esteemed Brazilian Producer & DJ Alok – recently voted Top 5 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs – delivers a spine-tingling update of Faithless’s poignant ‘I Need Someone’ (ft. Nathan Ball & Caleb Femi), released on BMG on 22 January.
The sublime ‘I Need Someone’ quickly became a fan favourite on Faithless’s stunning album ‘All Blessed’ – the legendary dance act’s first LP in ten years. Opening with Nathan Ball’s mesmerising vocal, Alok brilliantly layers growling brass and stabbing synth notes to create a euphoric reworking.
On Alok’s remix of ‘I Need Someone’ Faithless said: “Brazilian beats master Alok delivers a tasteful pumping house remix, putting the emotive Nathan Ball vocal centre stage.
